Planning My Next Language Challenge
Ending Japanese Classes and Preparing for 75 Fluent

Week 23 & 24/53 | Study Log 2026
This study log covers both Weeks 24 and 25, as I spent part of the past two weeks travelling.
During my travels, I saw these The Little Prince blind boxes. They were the only ones that caught my eye, and my friend kindly gifted me one.
I ended up getting The Lamplighter. Iām now tempted to do an intensive reading of The Little Prince in French once I finish LāĆtranger!
š„ French
French has been going well overall. After returning from my trip, I completed the second chapter of Part Two of LāĆtranger. Going into the reading session felt a little intimidating since it had been almost two weeks since I had read the previous chapter, but once I started reading, I quickly got back into it.
Iāve noticed that intensive reading sessions always leave me feeling energized and motivated. They make me feel like Iām actively learning and retaining new information while also enjoying the story itself.
Iāve also been preparing for the 75 Fluent Challenge Summer semester, which begins this Sunday. To make the challenge feel more exciting, I want to create a project board with around 24 goals and tasks that Iād like to complete over the next 75 days. One area I want to focus on is writing, since itās the skill I tend to avoid and practice the least.
Migaku Stats
French Total Words Known: 2874 ā 2913
LāĆtranger Part 1 Deck: 30 ā 40/446 cards reviewed
š Japanese
My Japanese classes have officially come to an end, and I completed my final presentation with my partner. I was extremely nervous during the presentation and felt like I could have memorized my lines better, but Iām glad I did it.
Overall, Iām very happy that I took the classes. It was nice to have Japanese as a regular part of my week, and I enjoyed seeing my classmates' presentations as well. Now that the course is finished, Iām looking forward to continuing through the rest of the textbook and finding new ways to keep Japanese in my routine.
Iāve slowly been working through the Migaku Japanese Academy 1 Course. Iām happy to say that Iāve completed the third lesson!
š§§ Mandarin
My main focus has been building vocabulary with Migaku and finding something to watch that will help me continue expanding my vocabulary through input.
One of my goals for 2026 is to work through Kai Duan. My enjoyment from intensively reading in French makes me want to do the same in Mandarin, but I think itād be best to revive the language first before reading.
Iāve been trying to find something to watch, but havenāt had much luck. I may try to give movies a try, as they are less of a commitment than a 40-episode drama.
āØLanguage Wins of The Week
