It’s been a while…but I have good news.

I’ve officially registered for the DELF B2 exam! I felt a sense of joy when I registered, and I’m excited to take the exam in a few months, whatever the results may be!

I’ve been really happy with how much French I’ve been using in my daily life.

A coworker of mine returned to France. Before she left, some of us visited a French pastry shop and chatted in both French and English. We rarely get moments like these during the workday, so it was nice to have a moment to catch up.

My placement student completed her internship with us. I had a call in French with an administrator from her school to discuss her experience. I took the call in the office, and my boss, who was also there, overheard the conversation. Afterward, she complimented my ability to handle professional calls in French.

I also completed the student’s final written evaluation in French. Tasks like these give me a chance to practice and pick up new expressions, like “d'horiz…
