Wow, I can’t believe that it’s almost time for your exam! I’ve been on a pretty good roll lately and am reading a novel, Chaleur Humaine, for my French book club in mid-June. It’s been a good task and motivation for me! 🙂
That's great! I'm. Happy to hear that you're enjoying the novel. I'm looking forward to reading all the French books I have once I'm done with the exam
I've been procrastinating so much but this just reminded me that I'm still working towards the DELF B2 too! I still immerse a lot in French but I just can't seem to sit down and study properly. I have the DELF 100% reussite book and I quite like it, even though I have barely gotten through it haha
Maybe we can both work on it and share when we've completed a section to keep ourselves accountable? I started on the reading comprehension section and I'm slowly working my way through it! I've gotten to the mock exam exercises 😊
My language, Irish was killed off by the British conquest of Ireland. It was a rich & ancient history, 3,000 yrs old, 18 letters, pre industrial revolution and musical as any with 32 names for field. I feel like "The Savage" of "Brave New World" reading this wonderful tongue but my opportunities to use it are dwindling & limited. Beir bua Dónal de Róiste
I don't know much about Irish history, but it does sadden me that languages die as the number of speakers decreases. It's great that you are doing what you can to preserve the language, at least for yourself.
Definitely struggling to study for Japanese, but I think it’s because I need to schedule to sit down and do it. I don’t want to study halfway, since that’ll be frustrating in the long run, but I also don’t want to sit down and do it 😆😆 guess I just gotta bite the bullet!
You can try to figure out a way to make it work with your schedule. Even a little bit goes a long way. Since I rarely listen or read the news in french, I've decided that until the exam I'll start listening and reading the news doing my work commute. Even if it's a new minutes I think it'll make a big difference since it's something I rarely do. I hope you find time to study Japanese!
I know a lot of people who took DELF and all of them passed it. I was even surprised sometimes that they are certified B2 because they still struggle as hell in conversations :D Fingers crossed!!
That's amazing! It does seem interesting that many people have the experience of passing the exam but still struggling to speak. Speaking seems to be a seperate skill based on comfort and frequency of use.

The DELF B2 is a great achievement to have, bonne chance in your studies, and un gros merde pour l'exam 😉
Merci pour les encouragements et le gros merde ! Je vais en avoir besoin ! 😅

That sounds like a great idea! I've done a little bit of all of the sections but I'll focus on the reading comprehension for now :)

Ooh, this is such a good tip, though! I should find some listening podcasts that I can listen to when cleaning. Thanks!!
I have a German exam today and spent 5 intense hours doing flash cards yesterday. At least it will be over soon- good luck!
Goodluck with your exam!! When I used to take exams back in university I would remind myself that once I did it, it'd be over 😂

My active studying has dropped off a bit, partly just because work is taking up so much of my time.
I can relate! I hope you can make some time for more active studying soon.
